You’ve browsed the website, you’ve got your eye on a brand new toy and you’re wondering how the heck you’re gonna get it to your house/office/castle. Well, you’re at the right place. Here’s all the nitty gritty about our freight and delivery. Sure, not the most riveting topic, but pretty darn important. Straight off the bat, we pinky promise that your purchase and delivery will be:

  • Fast. All of our stock is ready to ship from our Perth warehouse NOW
  • Reliable. Buying online can be scary. Will my purchase turn up? What happens if it doesn’t? What if it’s not what I expected? We totally get it, and that’s why we offer our Funsports iron-clad guarantee. If you’re not happy with your purchase for whatever reason, we’ll refund or replace it at our cost. You can’t ask for more than that!
  • Trackable. You’ll always know where your purchase is and when you can expect that knock on your front door.

What are my options?

We deliver anywhere in Australia – from coast to coast – straight from our warehouse in Perth. If you’re local, you’re welcome to skip the freight and pick up your purchase directly from our warehouse or showroom. All freight is covered by our iron-clad guarantee.

 

How much does it cost?

We know you’ve got better things to spend your money on (like more toys from Funsports!) so we do our best to keep freight as cost-effective as possible (without compromising on the really important things like speed and reliability). Here’s the breakdown.

 

Perth metro

All bulky items (pool tables/table tennis tables/elephants etc.) can be delivered to your door from $55 (larger items like pool tables cost more to deliver). If you’re over 30km from our warehouse, we’ll calculate your freight based on where you live. Sounds fair, right? To get exact prices, just refer to our freight calculator as you’re going through the checkout.

 

Around Australia (including country WA)

If you live outside of the Perth metro area, refer to our freight calculator as you go through the checkout for exact freight costs. We do our best to get the best value freight deals around, so you can be sure you’re getting bang for your buck.

 

Note to regional WA residents: if you live in a remote location, contact us directly  for an accurate quote. Our freight calculator will only give you a quote for delivery to regional freight centres, so if you’re wanting your goods sent a little further out you’ll need to get in touch.

 

Getting heavy

The logistics of moving some of our truly massive items (e.g. that 8-foot pool table you’ve got your eye on) can be pretty full on. With items this big and heavy we need to firm up a bunch of info like where you live, do you have stairs, do you have 12 muscly dudes hanging around your place or do you need to consider a specialist furniture removalist, and about a million other things. Basically, what we’re trying to say is, moving these things is complicated. To find the best solution and avoid a Dickens novel full of emails, we’ll call you in person (shock/horror!) to work it all out. Or you can call us 1300-892-548. We’re not really fussed, so long as you get a good result.

 

How long will it take?

If you live in WA, you’ll generally receive your new toys within 2-3 business days depending on where you live and freight schedules. If you live in the Perth metro area, we deliver on Mondays and Thursdays between 9am and 12noon.

 

For interstate (non-WA) deliveries of bulky items, it might take up to 10 working days. Why so long? To get the most competitive freight rates, we work with companies looking to fill empty trucks hurtling back across the Nullarbor. When we consolidate freight with these dudes, it works out way cheaper for you!

Delivery day!

You’ve waited for this day to come, counting down the days like it’s Christmas, and finally it’s here. Delivery day! Here are some things to keep in mind.

 

Someone needs to be home

To make sure your purchase makes it inside your front door safely and securely, someone needs to be home to:

  • Help unload the delivery (make sure they’re strong enough to tackle the weight of the item you’ve bought), and,
  • Sign for the delivery. If there’s no-one home to sign, your goods can’t be delivered (but we (and you) will still be charged! Also, you’ll need to provide us with the mobile number of the person signing for the goods. This means we can call if there’s any kind of problem.

 

Interstate (non-WA) customers

For interstate (non-WA) deliveries, we use partner freight companies to get the most competitive rates for you. A couple of things to note:

  • You can track the progress of your delivery via the website link and or tracking number that we’ll send you
  • You’ll be able to see when your goods have arrived in the warehouse in your state
  • You’ll need to communicate with the freight company about delivery dates and time. Freight companies can only give you the day that they will be there, not a time, so you’ll need to make sure that someone is home all day to accept the goods and help with unloading.
  • If no-one is home when the goods arrive, the freight company will leave a collection card in your mail-box, and you’ll need to collect your goods from the company’s warehouse within certain period of time. If you don’t collect your goods within this time, you’ll be charged by the company. Long story short, be at home to accept your delivery!

 

*Super important insurance stuff*

Although it’s rare, sometimes your goods get damaged during transit. Before signing your delivery docket, make sure to check that all items are in good shape. Again, do this BEFORE signing your delivery docket. By signing the docket, you’re saying that everything is fine, and you’re essentially waiving the freight insurance. 

 

What to do if your product is damaged

If your goods are damaged, don’t sign the docket, and don’t let the driver just leave. Call us straight away 1300-892-548 , and we’ll talk you through the best thing to do. If you can’t stop the driver from leaving, write the damage info on the docket instead of signing.  That way you have proof that you had to take damaged goods.

 

If you discover your goods have been damaged inside the carton (despite the outside of the box looking fine), make sure to follow these steps:
